Oh my gosh. I can't believe I found my blog. How sad is this? I couldn't remember my log in or password for blogger and had to have it emailed to me. I haven't been online in almost a year. So many reasons why- puter issues, husband and family issues, moving issues. You know- life. That thing that seems to be happening right underneath our noses. Behind our backs when we aren't looking. Whatever. I have missed my regular blog reads and can't wait to see if they are still blogging.

Meanwhile, I am no longer 31 like my blog says. Matter of fact, I am going to be 34 in 10 days. Where the hell was I when all that time was flying by? Shit, by the time I get done with this post I will probably be turning 44 heh~ so I better get off my lump and get my pics uploaded so I can show all my old message board girlies how much my kids have grown. And figure out what else needs to be updated on this blog!

Ahhhh summer is almost over! My kids go back to school August 9th. I may just have time to blog again. We've had a whirlwind summer so far. My oldest two both went to Girl Scout camp. One full week for one and two full weeks for the other. The one-weeker also had 3 weeks straight of 4-H daycamps. Since we discovered our library is online and we can make reservations from home, we've been going to the library at least once if not twice a week. We have also been going to the free movies in town. So far we've seen Milo and Otis, Elmo in Grouchland, Looney Tunes movie, and Elf.

I've been on a weight loss kick. Last summer I lost 30 lbs. I quit around Thanksgiving. Recently discovered I gained 10 lbs back!  Can't have that. I relost that plus 8 more so far. That is 18 this time, 38 since last summer. I have quite a bit more to go though. Maybe one day I'll say exactly how much but not tonight! Maybe when the number of pounds lost is greater than the amount I still need to loose, I'll post it.

I can tell a difference in my posture. Something is out of whack. I don't know if it has anything to do with the weight loss. I feel like I slump a lot and my neck hurts. I don't want to end up with one of those humps on the back of my neck!!!!! I should probably go see a chiropractor.

Long time no post! I've just been enjoying my kid free mornings and afternoons. It's been heaven! Oddly, I haven't been online as much as I was before they started school. I've been going to the library every week. I used to love reading so much, but kind of got away from it as it is hard to concentrate when someone needs their butt wiped or wants a drink or is fighting over a toy. I even found out I can go online and reserve books! And that really excited me! Yeah, I know, I haven't had much of a life for the past 13 years.

I even take myself out to breakfast or lunch a couple times a week. I really like that, although I wish I had someone to go with sometimes. My best friend is almost 3 hours away and my sister-in-law -well I guess I could ask her but she is 45 mins away. I like to go locally and I know she isn't going to drive out here. Maybe I'll plan to do it anyway. I'm still learning that I can make plans now!

As of Feb 13th, all 5 kids have been in school. I have taken these past weeks off. From pretty much everything. Well, I still cook and wash clothes. Other than that, I've been using this time for *me* and it's nice. Today I finally got into a cleaning mode, and cleaned off my dresser (ack!) and my computer desk (double ack!). And I didn't mind doing it!

A couple weekends ago, I shaperoned a girlscout camping trip for my oldest daughter. I love these weekend camping trips. The last one was Cadette weekend (7th - 9th graders). Next one is the Service Unit campout later this month(states are broken into big areas that include a few counties each). So, grades K-12 are invited. I love hanging out with the leader & co leader. We just walk around camp & tell jokes & gossip about our families. We smuggled soda and snacks in this last time! I figured out last fall at the Mother/Daughter campout that I do NOT enjoy going without my soda for a whole weekend! And, next month there is an Aquatics weekend for my Cadette daughter. I'm attending that weekend but not for aquatics! I will actuall be taking Chef Training with the co-leader. I am excited about that.

I am really having fun :o)

My best friend's grandfather passed away yesterday. I feel so bad for her. My grandparents are all long gone. The ones that I was closest to passed away when I was in 11th grade, so I've had 16 years to get over it. I just wish I could fast forward this for her. She's never lost someone this close, and he was very important to her. I hate knowing she is sad and hurting :(

I'm listening to my Clay Aiken cd. I'm such a dork- I totally forgot I'd bought it, so I checked it out from the library! Duh! I really like Clay. I hope he comes out with another cd and doesn't fizzle out. I've been watching the new American Idol. I can't believe the piss poor contestants that they had last night. The two brothers were SO freakin embarrasing- and I'm not even related to them! I feel really sorry for the people who really deserved a chance but didn't get one because of the loosers that were on last night. Two of the girls were ok- the hippy redhead and the young one from Hawaii. I voted for the Hawaiian girl.

Oh and FINALLY I found a place that does boomerang perms. That means they use a special rod that looks like a clear plastic tube that hooks together on the ends rather than a spiral rod or having to piggy back two rods on one length of my long thick hair. It's just not as good as a boomerang perm, nor as fast. Although, it is going to take 3 to 5 hours to have it done because I'm going to the beauty school to get it done. They use people who are about to graduate and are supervised by a professional so I feel good about it. And instead of having to pay $125.00, it is only going to cost about $40. I am so excited, since I have this crazy fluffy partially curly/frizzy/straight hair. I feel like I have the hair of 3 different people. I just want it to ALL be curly. I also haven't had my hair "done" in 13 years. Seriously. I've had it cut, straight across the bottom but that is it. I deserve this. Wish me luck!

Duh. I was rereading my last post. I forgot to mention- when my husband got robbed, it was at gunpoint. That's some scarry shit eh? I was quite put out for the first few days. I didn't know what to think or how to feel. He wouldn't report it to the police for reasons that I'll never know. Mostly because he spent the majority of the ordeal unconscious. A red car and 3 guys is all he remembered. I tried my best to get him to call the cops anyway. I could be a widow with 5 young children. OK enough of that.

I went in at 10 this morning to finish filling out the paperwork for the twins to start Head Start. I was told eariler in the week that they would start Monday. Today they told me that tomorrow will be their first day! I'm stoked. We'll be going to Walmart tonight to get them each a backpack or small bag of some sort to carry their pillow & blanket in. Coincidentally, this is the last weekend of the Medieval Faire and it will be open tomorrow to attract school groups. It's half price as well. I'm going. ALONE! My first outing sans kids. I'm even more stoked! I haven't been able to do this for thirteen long years.

We went as a family to the Medieval Faire last year. Bad idea. The twins were too little and bitched the whole time because they wanted out of the stroller- but they had too many people plus horses walking around. Plus, my husband had no clue what was going on, although myself and my oldest 3 kids liked it. I explained to him several times what it would entail. He still didn't get it. I told him, Knights, jousting, people in costume, food, crafts, man powered rides. I think all he heard were people, food, rides. So, naturally when we got there, he expected to see rides of the mechanical sort like a regular fair. Ay yi yi! That is why I will be escaping tomorrow and going all by my happy self.

Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged. Not like I've had anything going on. In January my husband got robbed and beat into unconsciousness at a poorly lit isolated phone booth. There were 3 of them, and they got a grand total of $3.00. My husband had a split open eyebrow which I doctored up with some liquid stithces. That stuff should be in everyone's medicine cabinet. He could barely eat for a week. Apparently they were very diligent in applying their shoes to his facial area. Thank God no teeth were knocked out. There is a scar inside his mouth even- from where his teeth just gouged a huge chunk out. His ribs also took a good beating. He is completely mended now. He missed some work due to it, and it set us back some but we are catching up.

Let's see, what else- well, my twins will be 4 later this month. They also both got a spot at the daycare. All 5 of my kids will be in school for the first time ever. I will have 6 hours a day all to myself. I've had kids for 13 + years now. I haven't had 6 hours to myself since I was childless. Everyone wants to know if I will get a job right away. Uh, no. Sorry. I'm going to do my best to spend the first MONTH sleeping!

We've already e-filed our taxes and they should be direct deposited into our account this Friday. I can't wait. I want to go shopping. I want to get little backpacks for the twins to carry their pillow & blanket for nap time. Otherwise I'll be dragging in 3 blankets, 3 pillows, and 3 small stuffed animals in and out of the school everyday because my 5 yr old goes there as well. They both need tennis shoes for school. Hmm- Lots of other frivolous stuff for the house. My husband is going to an auto auction with his boss and get a new/used work van. And the list goes on.

I've missed reading everyone! I really haven't read anyone since I last blogged. It's just been one thing after another. I have lots of catching up to do.

I lost a $100.00 bill today. Yes, you read that correctly...lost a freakin one hundred dollar bill. I was in the van in the drive through at my bank this afternoon. I had to deposit some cash and put it in my little drawer that opens out at an angle- because I hate fishing for it in my purse. Well, this drawer doesn't just pull out, it's a V shaped drawer that tilts towards you rather than 'pulls out.' I knew for a fact I had four $100.00 bills. I'd counted them several times because I am a little bit OCD. Anyway, I went to pull them out and what? There were only THREE! And something caught my eye as I reopened the little drawer- paper...behind it. But,...you can't get your fingers in there. Nope. Not unless you smash them flat.

So, I am panicing, talking myself out of just ripping the drawer out and breaking it. I decide it might be a good thing to force my fat fingers in there, maybe the drawer will bend a little? No? I didn't think so! My fingers got STUCK... and the more I tried to pull them out the more stuck they got, and the more I tried to push them in, you know- like reverse psychology? they just got stuck even worse. There was no way out. And, seeing as how it was my right hand- I had no way to unbuckle myself OR alert the teller because my van is up high and I can't reach the call button without leaning out of the van...which I can't do because... my fingers are stuck.

Have you ever had a moment where you think to yourself- DAMN I just did something STOOOPID! Well I had about 8 of them. I swear, I will never, ever be hasty again. I pulled on through the lane and parked, and wrenched my fingers out slowly, painfully. Withough the $100.00 bill. Despair! I wasn't going to stick my fingers back in though, so I grabbed a pencil and used the eraser to shove the bill up, and thankfully was able to get it out!
